Before installing Medisoft V17 check these installation instructions.
Please check that your hardware meets these minimum system requirements before installing Medisoft V17.
Installation instructions provided by McKesson, the publisher of the Medisoft software, are included on the installation disk you receive. Also included is the end user manual. You will not receive any printed material; all manuals are on the disk.
If you would prefer to have CompuHealth assist with the install, we are happy to do so. This is especially recommended if you have a network, are unfamiliar with installing computer programs or are skipping several versions of Medisoft. Please call us to schedule an appointment. We can usually schedule an appointment within 2-4 business days of your call. Our technical support rates for installation and data conversion or repair are $95 an hour (billed in 15 minute increments) and $125 an hour for network or server configurations (billed in 15 minute increments, with a one hour minimum.) Our support staff can give you an estimate of how much time it will take to do the install when you schedule the appointment. To schedule an appointment, please call us at 800-592-9826 ext 1. We have created pre and post install checklists for upgrades. Please follow the attached checklists before installing Medisoft V17!
Important! if you are upgrading from version 15 or older of Medisoft, the CMS insurance forms must be reformatted to work with Medisoft V17, or the Standard included form must be re aligned to work with your printer. For users of these older versions of Medisoft, some work must be done before some reports can be printed. In addition, the provider and practice screens containing the NPI numbers and tax ids must be reconfigured. Please call us for an appointment if you would like assistance with making these changes (support rate apply). UNTIL THESE CHANGES ARE MADE, NO INSURANCE BILLING CAN BE DONE. (If you are upgrading from version 16 of Medisoft, this work is not required. You may print insurance forms without making any changes.)

For users of the Revenue Management (RMD) electronic claims program:
You have pre paid for CompuHealth to configure Revenue Management for 17. This configuration must take place before you can do your electronic billing or post your electronic remittances. Please schedule an appointment with us before you install so you can send your claims with out any interruption in your routine!
